Inshore fishing, also known as “bay fishing,” largely refers to fishing off a boat in the back bays, in the ocean near the coast, or in an inlet. Meanwhile, Offshore fishing or “deep sea” fishing, goes beyond thirty meters deep by most definitions, and includes a wide range of deep sea fishing activities.
Some of the fish you will see on in-shore trips are:
Croaker, flounder, sea bass, tautog, blue fish, cobia mackerel, sea trout, striped bass
Some of the off-shore fish you will see are:
Swordfish, bluefish, mako shark, bluefin tuna, yellowfin tuna, bigeye tuna, white marlin, blue marlin, dolphinfish (Mahi), wahoo, tile fish
Off shore fishing is not recommended if it is your first time on a boat. Sea sickness is real. Check out our girl Katie's 'pre-game prep' on the 'Details' tab for precautions you can take if the deep waters are calling you.
